PRODUCT DETAILS

Everything you need to know.

Pianists who need a full synthesis workstation get both worlds in the Roland FANTOM 8 EX: an 88-note PHA-50 wood-and-plastic hybrid hammer action with escapement, ebony/ivory feel, and channel aftertouch, driving over 7,000 sounds from ZEN-Core, ACB, V-Piano, SuperNATURAL, and Virtual ToneWheel organ engines. The EX generation ships with the German Concert V-Piano Expansion and an updated V-Piano UI for a truly premium acoustic piano experience.

Production tools are equally deep — a 7-inch color touchscreen, 8,000 keyboard multisample slots with up to 2 GB of storage, a pad sampler with 16 pads across 4 banks and 60 minutes of recording, an improved clip-based sequencing workflow, and an enhanced Master FX processor with studio-grade effects. The onboard audio interface records 16 stereo channels at 24-bit/96 kHz.

Connectivity covers serious rigs: XLR and 1/4-inch main outputs, dual CV/Gate outputs, MIDI I/O, dual USB audio/MIDI ports, and three USB-A ports for external controllers, making the FANTOM 8 EX a genuine command center for stage and studio.
